Queensland is currently divided into 93 state electorates. At a state election, the people in each electoral district vote for one candidate to represent them in parliament.
There are 77 local council areas within Queensland which can be divided or undivided. In a divided council, electors from each division elect one councillor to represent them. In an undivided council, voters elect all of the councillors they wish to represent their council area.
To view your federal electorate, please see the Australian Electoral Commission.
The digital Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data for the state electoral boundaries are available through the Queensland Government Spatial Catalogue (QSpatial).
