Alternatively, download or collect a form from Australia Post or the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

A number of special enrolment categories and enrolment forms are available for people with specific needs (ie. no fixed address, people who are overseas, special postal voters or people with privacy concerns).

Eligibility requirements

It is compulsory to enrol and vote in council and state and federal government elections if you:

  • are an Australian citizen or eligible British subject;
  • are aged 18 years or over; and
  • have lived at your address for at least one month.

If you believe someone should be removed from the electoral roll please fill in this form.

Once you have enrolled, your name and address will be added to the electoral roll.

A copy of the Queensland electoral roll is available for public inspection at the ECQ office. Access to the Commonwealth electoral roll can be arranged through the Australian Electoral Commission.
